Statue of Liberty Tickets
When a person visits New York City, visiting the Statue of Liberty
is one of the first steps on anyone's travel agenda. On this page
I will give you advice about purchasing tickets for Statue of Liberty
tours by ferry, the Statue of Liberty Crown tours, museum and pedestal
tickets and Ellis Island tours.
Statue of Liberty tickets (with or without Ellis Island and with
or without the Crown tours or museum and pedestal) need to be purchased
online to avoid long waits, especially in the tourist seasons (all
summer and around Christmas).
When visiting both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in one
tour, purchase tickets that indicate your departure will leave before
2 pm otherwise you will not be able to visit both locations.
Access to the top of the Statue of Liberty is now in service. If
you have purchased Crown Access Tickets for the Statue of Liberty
you must be able to climb and descend 354 steps with moderate ease
and without health problems for your own safety and that of others.
Be sure when you book your Statue of Liberty tour ahead of time,
online that you also book your Crown Access Tickets and Pedestal
and Museum Tickets at the same time in order to avoid any complications
later.
If you are departing from Battery Park, New York, then you can
expect a 30 minute wait, except in high season (summer and Christmas)
where the waits may be a bit longer. In New Jersey at Liberty
State Park, you can expect a departure that takes about half the
time as in Battery Park.
